Charlotte Williams

Charlotte’s background is in community development, economic regeneration, business enterprise and supporting young people in business start-up.  She has worked in the private, charitable and public sector throughout her career, and before joining Redruth as the Town Clerk she has been in Local Government in Cornwall for the past 23 years. / As Town Clerk, she is the Chief Officer of the Council, the principal legal advisor to the Council and responsible for carrying out the policies and decisions made by the Council.  The role demands dynamic leadership of the staff team and managing all resources in a safe and effective way.  As the Proper Officer she is under a statutory duty to carry out all the functions of the post, and in particular to serve or issue all the notifications required by law.
