About Redruth Town Council
Redruth Town Council serves the parish of Redruth, which is split into three wards: Redruth North, Redruth Central and Redruth South.
How the council works
Councillors and staff work together so the Council can carry out its legal duties. Most Council business takes place in committee.
Four committees meet regularly: Finance, Community, Asset Management and Staffing.
The Council also has working groups. These are usually less formal and are set up for specific projects. Members can include Councillors, staff and members of the public.

Mission, vision and values
Redruth Town Council’s Mission is ‘Working in the heart of our community, providing leadership and vision.’ The mission statement is Redruth Town Council’s single-sentence summary that underpins who we are as an organisation and what we stand for.
Our vision sets out our aspirations as an organisation; it informs the community of what we want to be. Redruth Town Council’s Vision is ‘By working together, listening and being creative, we can continue to build a Redruth that will be:

Working towards this ensures we are providing a safer, healthier and more socially inclusive community.
Our values help form the guiding principles for how we, as Redruth Town Council, operate. Our values are:

Redruth’s Strategic Plan sets out the Council’s direction and aims for five years. The current plan was adopted in May 2026 and runs until 2031. It is based on the results of the Redruth Residents Survey 2025.
